TDI have just released their new standards for 2009. The biggest change is the new entry level CCR standards that now have two options depending on your current certification
The pre requisites for the first entry level course are a minimum age of 18, a minimum of 20 logged dives and certified as a Nitrox diver ( but this may be combined with the course) This will allow students to dive to a maximum depth of 30m using air as a diluent but no decompression is allowed.
The pre requisites for the second entry level course are a minimum age of 18, a minimum of 50 logged dives and certified as an Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures diver.
Be a minimum age of 18, a TDI air diluent diver, 30 logged hours on the unit with a minimum of 6 months CCR diving experience.
This will allow students to dive to a maximum depth os 45m using air as a diluent for formal decompression diving.
These standards mean that YOU can start a rebreather course that suits your type of diving without having to do extra courses on open circuit. So why not book your CCR course today. CCR entry level courses start from 850 Euro.
